The classic village fete — bunting, a tombola, the raffle, and a fish and chip van. We are regulars at summer fairs across Sussex and understand the rhythm of these events. We can discuss pricing structures that work for event organisers, whether you want us to sell directly to the public or provide pre-paid catering.
Bonfire Nights & Fireworks Events
Sussex has the strongest bonfire tradition in England, especially around Lewes and the surrounding villages. Hot fish and chips on a cold November evening is the perfect bonfire food. We serve at private fireworks parties and community bonfire events across the county.
School Fetes & PTA Fundraisers
A fish and chip van is always the biggest draw at a school fete. Parents, teachers, and children all love it. We work with PTAs to provide catering that helps raise funds for the school while feeding families.

Practical Tips for Booking
Access
We need vehicle access to the serving location. If your village green or field has a gate, check the width (we need about 3 metres). We can discuss access on narrow lanes — after 25 years in Sussex, we have navigated most of them.
Ground Conditions
We need reasonably flat, firm ground. Tarmac, concrete, and compacted grass all work well. Very soft or waterlogged ground can be challenging, so let us know if your site is off-road and we will advise.
Timing & Booking
For village fetes and community events, we recommend booking 2–3 months ahead. Summer weekends and November (bonfire season) are our busiest periods. Contact us as early as possible to secure your date.
